The Jackson Pro Plus Series Soloist SLA2 in Gloss Black is built for players who want high-performance feel, no-frills visuals, and serious tonal range. It's ideal for advanced players, studio guitarists, and anyone playing technically demanding music that pushes the limits of speed and precision. With its neck-through-body construction and stealthy aesthetic, this one's dialed for modern metal and progressive styles but can just as easily shift into blues, hard rock, or fusion.
A Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a '59 in the neck give you tight rhythm tones, rich cleans, and lead tones with just the right amount of bite. The five-way switch lets you tap into inner and outer coil combos for a surprising amount of versatility, especially for a dual-humbucker setup. The arched nyatoh body keeps it lightweight and resonant, while the recessed Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo handles pitch shifts and divebombs with tuning locked in tight.
The 3-piece maple/walnut neck with a smooth oil finish feels fast and stable, even under heavy touring conditions. Stainless steel frets and Luminlay side dots are nice touches that make a difference night after night, especially in low-light stages. We've seen this model handle high-gain punishment and studio detail work without missing a beat.
