Description
The Walrus Audio Lore Reverse Soundscape Generator MKII - Black is the Mark II evolution of Walrus Audio's reverse ambient platform, now built for stereo operation with presets, MIDI, expression control, and expanded performance features. Five modes combine reverse delay, reverse reverb, octave processing, pitch shifting, and time stretching through interacting feedback paths. Instead of simply putting a reverse effect behind your guitar, the Lore MKII lets those processed sounds feed back into one another, creating swells, shifting harmonies, pads, and rhythmic pitch patterns that continue developing as you play.
The five modes cover Reverse Delay into Reverse Reverb, Reverse Delay into Octave-Up Reverb, Reverse Delay into Octave-Down Reverb, Reverse Reverb into Forward Reverb, and a pair of Pitch Delays that can behave like a harmonizer at short delay times or a sequencer as the delay time increases. Feedback and Regen control separate feedback paths, while X changes function depending on the selected mode. The Tweak section adds stereo Width, modulation Rate and Shape, plus Shift and Ramp controls for the Dive / Rise feature. Hold the Tap/Shift footswitch and you can momentarily change the pedal's clock rate, creating anything from a quick pitch jump to a long rising or falling glide.
Full stereo I/O makes the MKII a natural fit for larger ambient rigs, while three onboard presets, 127 additional MIDI presets, MIDI clock, expression control, external tap support, and buffered bypass with selectable trails give you practical ways to manage these sounds live. We think that's the important part of the Mark II update. Lore can still get strange very quickly, but the added control makes it much easier to integrate those reverse and pitch-shifted textures into a rig and reliably get back to them when you need them.
