The Synergy Preamp Module - Bogner Ecstasy brings Reinhold Bogner's Ecstasy amplifier design into Synergy's interchangeable all-tube preamp format. Built for players who want genuine tube-driven British-style gain in a modular rig, it gives you two independent voices based around the Ecstasy's Blue and Red channels. The Blue side covers lower-gain blues and muscular rock sounds through hard rock crunch, while the Red channel adds layers of saturation for heavier rhythm work and sustaining lead tones.
Both channels give you Gain, Volume, Bass, Middle, and Treble controls, along with individual three-position Pre-EQ and Schizo switches for shaping the response and gain character. Two 12AX7 tubes handle the preamp duties, and an internal three-position Cathode Select switch lets you alter the input tube's bass response, feel, and tightness. The module comes set to Bogner's preferred Position 1 configuration, using a 1.5K resistor and 22uF capacitor, but the other positions are available if you want to experiment with a tighter or differently voiced response.
The Dual/Single switch also makes the module usable with older single-channel Egnater and Randall modular hardware, although those systems can only access one channel at a time. In a compatible Synergy dock or amplifier, you get the full dual-channel setup and can move from the more open Blue voice to the higher-gain Red side without changing modules. We think this one makes the most sense for someone who wants the range of the Ecstasy's gain structure but needs it to work within a compact, interchangeable Synergy rig.
